Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber and all their veggie buddies are singing up a storm in A Very Silly Sing-Along! Actually they've been singing on every one of the phenomenally successful videos in the Veggie Tales series produced by Everland at Word Music, but on this video, youngsters get to hear all their songs plus one brand new silly song, "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything."
This 30-minute tape starts with a workout scene in Gourd's Gym where the veggies "squeeze and jump." Then it moves into the theme song "Veggie Tales" that most of us can probably sing in our sleep by now. From here on, it's a rundown of favorites.
The variety of songs, rhythms, and settings is wide. There's yodeling in "Love My Lips," a cowboy backdrop for "The Water Buffalo Song," a Spanish setting in Larry's special "Dance of the Cucumber," and the wonderful "Hairbrush Song."
The folks who put this video together know their kids, their music, and their animation. All are right on target. Now if they'll just produce a cassette tape so we can sing in the car!
