How do we help our children give God and His Word first place in their lives? If you are a parent, you can find good advice in the "Word to Parents" in the front of the new Prayers That Avail Much for Kids. It holds up the power of reading the Scriptures, applying prayer to actual situations, and saying the confessions over for themselves. Sounds pretty basic, doesn't it? Learning to do that and having the will to do it is a practice children need to start early. Prayers That Avail Much for Kids is a great way to start this.
Each two-page spread contains a Scripture passage, a prayer to "Father God," a simple statement for the child to repeat, and full page of full color art that is related to the topic. Themes range from basic things like "My Food" and "My Nation" to more spiritual topics like "The Holy Spirit in Me."
Special prayers include: Loving others, Knowing God, Obeying my parents, Peaceful sleep, For others to know Jesus, and Freedom from being sick.
Learning to give thanks and praising God are important parts of the book, and the last statement in the book for children to learn is "I will praise God all my life" from Psalm 146:2.
This colorful book has a presentation page for gift-giving. It is part of the Prayers That Avail Much series.
